Leroy D. Delong - Co-Founder of the Purple Heart Hunting Program & Assistant Guide. Leroy was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.

Joseph Kapacziewski - Former CIA Agent during the war on terror, the first US Army Ranger on a prosthetic leg to subsquently complete 7 deployments. Joseph was "a hero's hero."

Brady Jackson - Combat special forces medic. Brady was known as a kind and gentle soul.

Jim Sursely - A triple amputee and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) spokesperson, who served in the Vietnam War. He passed due to complications from COVID-19.

Wayne "Larry" Martin

Army National Guard, stationed at Fort Greely. Larry was one of the original pro-staff members for the PHHP. Larry is actively involved in supporting Delta Junction area youth sports, particularly Hockey. He and his wife, Austine, have lived in Alaska for a number of years with their three beautiful children.

Justin Taylor

Army National Guard, stationed at Fort Greely. Justin is a native of Fort Myers, Florida and has been involved with the PHHP for several years. He is an avid hunter and lover of the outdoors, who enjoys spending his weekends on hunting trips with his wife, Pat. This year, he hopes to tag a Caribou or a Grizzly.

Retired Army National Guard, stationed at Fort Greely. Originally from Colorado, Rusty has lived in Alaska with his wife, Tina, for many years now. He’s an avid hunter and experienced outdoorsman, who also serves as an alternate on the Advisory Committee for the Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game Board.

Travis Hall

Army National Guard, stationed at Fort Greely. Travis is originally from Orlando, Florida and lives in the Delta Junction area with his wife, Merri. An experienced hunter, Travis assisted in field dressing 5 out of the 6 moose that were tagged by this year's veterans.

Colton Spradlin

Army National Guard, stationed at Fort Greely. Colton is from Section, Alabama, and moved to the Delta Junction area of Alaska many years ago with his wife, Micah. In addition to volunteering for the PHHP, Colton also volunteers for other military nonprofit organizations as well.
